So, it's the middle of summer and we are driving around in circles trying to fill the void left by What's the Scoop. No more lemon basil, no more just perfect dulce de leche, no more fiore de latte.
So, that's that. After rumors that it was closing last summer, What's the Scoop didn't open for the season and we, and you, are left scrambling for options.
Of course, there's Paolo's, serving personality in a sugar cone. And then there's the Jake's and the Bruster's of the world.
We are still to find a proper substitute for What's the Scoop. In the meantime, One Hot Cookie provides some respite, with their friendly space and cookies option. But then that's just good ice cream and I'm left yearning for gelato...
What would it take for Alon to reconsider?
